How Pro-Series Improves Productivity
Two factors can significantly affect laundry equipment performance and
operational throughput — machine extraction and cycle time. Machine
extraction, or G-force, is the relationship between a washer-extractor’s
spin speed and its cylinder diameter. As G-force increases, so does the
amount of water extracted from the load during the spin cycle.

High Extract Cuts Dry Time & Gas
Consumption
When less moisture remains in the linen upon completion of the wash
cycle, the time and utilities required to dry those linens are
significantly reduced. To a laundry room manager, this means
bottlenecks at the dryer are eliminated, and utility volume, utility
costs and labor expenses are reduced.
387 G-force Extract!
Pro-Series machines reach extremely high G-force extraction speeds — up
to 387 Gs on some models. In turn, the washer cuts dry time, operating
time, utility consumption and labor expense. When compared to
traditional hard-mount units, Pro-Series Washers can cut these operating
variables by up to 30 percent — increasing laundry productivity.

Continental's
Premier Microprocessor (PM) Control
Packaged on all Pro-Series Washer-Extractors, the control is designed to
improve laundry room performance thanks to a multitude of features that
shorten cycle time without sacrificing wash quality.
In use at laundries worldwide for more than 17 years, the PM Control
offers a proven track record and an easy-to-understand programming
system with 79 program selections, including 20 pre-programmed options
and 59 user-programmable options.
Simple to Use,
Allowing for One-touch Operation
Once programmed, operators simply choose a program number and the
machine automatically blends optimum water temperatures, water levels,
chemicals, extraction speeds and cycle time—ensuring quality laundering
results.
Flexibility to
Control the Smallest Elements
By controlling water temperature by degree, the PM Control helps
chemical additives effectively penetrate stains, suspend solids and
disinfect fabrics. It allows laundries to also select multiple wash and
rotation speed options, including eliminating rotation altogether. The
result is a faster, more efficient cleaning process. With six water
level options, the control allows laundries to increase or decrease
mechanical action and chemical dilution depending on the type of load.
Curbs Labor &
Boosts Energy Efficiency
To curb labor, the control’s automated cycle advance eliminates downtime
in each cycle, and a programmable delayed start automatically initiates
the wash process so linens are cleaned when the next shift arrives.
Continental’s service diagnostic package, standard on all PM Controls,
enables a quick-check of the washer's electronic and mechanical
functions — making service and maintenance easy.
