Heated-Roll Flatwork Ironers -F08, F13, F20

No Wax Finishing Means
Less Mess & Hassle
Pro-Series Heated-Roll Ironers, available in multiple finishing widths and
8-, 13- or 20-inch diameter rolls, bring no-wax finishing technology to
laundries. Thanks to machined-steel cylinders, which are mirror polished and
chrome plated, laundries avoid the messy application and stripping of roll
wax. Not only is the no-wax design less hassle, it also reduces the labor
and material costs associated with wax maintenance. Plus, the no-wax design
eliminates linen damage caused by wax contact— extending linen and machine
ribbon life.
Durability Second to None
Pro-Series Flatwork Ironers are constructed for constant use. Features such
as sturdy steel frames and cylinders, fiberglass endplates and heavy-duty,
permanently lubricated bearings make it possible for all Pro-Series Ironers
to carry a 5/3 year limited warranty-the best in the industry! An added
layer of thermal insulation takes quality and efficiency a step further by
trapping heat inside the ironer where it belongs.
Energy Efficient
Better yet, Pro-Series ironers work to curb spiking utility costs by
offering excellent energy efficiency. The result is an ironer capable of
increasing production and decreasing overhead costs. Four components work
together — a motor reducer, speed inverter, encoder and versatile
microprocessor — to help eliminate wasted energy usage during ramp-up,
operation and cool-down.
Safe to Operate
Today’s industrial laundries need energy efficient, labor-reducing
equipment. Similarly, laundries value equipment that is proven safe to use.
Did you know Pro-Series ironers meet rigorous worldwide environmental and
safety standards? Safety features abound on these models, including
independent switch disconnect, emergency stop button, hand guard with double
safety sensors, electrical circuit safeguard, manual lint removal and a
computer alarm. Safety start-up and automatic cooling and shut down also
ensure safe operation.

Heavy Duty Manifold & Lint
Screen
Providing a clean, cool and quiet working environment is important.
Pro-Series Flatwork ironers help reduce unwanted laundry room noise and heat
because exhaust motors, fans, and vents are located away from operators, to
the rear of the units. And, during the ironing process, residual lint is
pulled through a manifold and filtered through a heavy-duty screen. In doing
so, Continental Pro-Series ironers prevent lint from re-depositing on
linens, and ensure lint doesn't escape into the laundry room where it can
pollute the air and clog vent ducts.
Pressure Sensitive Hand Guard
Pro-Series Ironers feature a pressure-sensitive hand guard located at the
ironer feeding area. When the control detects pressure on the guard, it
automatically stops ironer operation-preventing potential accidents. The
control will not permit the ironer to start until the guard cover is
activated.

Integrated Folder Option
An integrated folder option is available on all F20 roll model ironers.
Integrated folding saves space and can significantly cut labor costs.
Kinematic Pressure System
Pro-Series Heated-Roll Ironers offer the exclusive Kinematic Pressure
System. The system, which presses linen against heated rolls with 3.5 times
more pressure than stretch-type ironers, works in conjunction with powerful
vent fans and a stainless steel vacuum manifold to quickly pull moisture
away from fabric. In doing so, linen can be transferred directly from the
washer to the ironer-saving valuable labor and energy! An added bonus?
Kinematic Pressure is also easier on fabric because it presses rather than
stretches linens. Not only does this technique produce top-quality finishing
results and even edges, it helps extend linen life by reducing fabric wear.
Control
All Pro-Series Flatwork Ironers offer easy-to-operate controls that provide
efficient performance and flexibility. The electro-mechanical control (F08
models) provides simple control of all basic ironing parameters.
Continental's Microprocessor Control (F13 and F20 models), enables complete
programmability of a multitude of variables including ironing speed and
temperature, Autospeed or manual mode operation, cool-down cycle, and
diagnostics. No matter the linen type or moisture content, Continental
ironers provide superior finishing results every time!
Hand Crank
In the event of a power outage, items in process can be manually removed
from the machine using the provided hand crank. This is a simple design
feature that reduces the possibility of linen damage due to excessive heat
exposure. |
